Norwegian ABA

In 2023 the Norwegian Association (NAFO) had about 550 members, and this number has decreased a bit over the last couple of years. Members of NAFO hold a bachelor’s degree in social welfare, a master’s degree in behavior science or a doctoral degree in behavior analysis.
The Norwegian Association arranges a five-day annual conference in April. About 500 people attended the conference at Storefjell, a venue in the mountains approximately a three-hour drive northwest of Oslo. Usually, an invited international scholar attends the conference.
The Norwegian ABA publishes two journals: The Norwegian Journal of Behavior Analysis and The European Journal of Behavior Analysis. The Norwegian Journal of Behavior Analysis is published twice a year. The journal is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes papers on research, practice, and conceptual issues in behavior analysis, mainly in Norwegian. From 2011 abstracts in English are included. The European Journal of Behavior Analysis (www.ejoba.org) is a peer-reviewed journal published twice a year. EJOBA is primarily for the original publication of experimental reports and theoretical or conceptual papers relevant to analyzing individual organisms’ behavior. EJOBA has published several special issues since the first volume was published in 2000. EJOBA has a collaboration with Taylor & Francis Group.
