OBM

By Lori Ludwig

Accomplishments this past year

  • Revised Bylaws: These bylaws reinforce our commitment to transparency, fairness, and inclusivity, ensuring the success of the Network.
  • Bi-annual Conference: Our flagship event where scholars, practitioners, and experts from diverse areas of OBM converge to explore the latest trends and innovations in OBM held in partnership with TxABA in Houston, Texas in April 2024.
  • OBM Instructor Resources: One of the OBM Network Research & Education Committee’s goals is to elevate the quality of instruction in OBM as the demand for OBM increases. Recent achievements of the Committee include 1) the recent publication in the Journal of Organizational Behavior Management, “Guidance and Recommendations When Developing an Introductory Graduate-Level OBM Course”; 2) a member-only website page: “Curated List of OBM Articles” to guide instructors and students in OBM toward the latest research in OBM by topic area; 3) an Instructor Group on the OBM Network Membership Portal to facilitate collaboration between OBM instructors to ensure the quality growth of our field.
  • The OBM Experience Podcast: The OBM Experience is a series of exclusive interviews with prominent figures in the field, offering valuable insights and perspectives. Goals for this upcoming year:
  • Add new instructor resources and researcher resources to the portal
  • Monthly OBM Experience podcast
  • Establish a conference curation service where the Network assists in matching relevant OBM presenters, tracks, and topics s to professional organizations wanting to feature insights from our field.
  • Expand our international presence (e.g., increase international members, publish OBM articles in other countries/languages, facilitating more collaboration with international members)
