South Carolina ABA – 2025 Chapter Update
By Jacqueline Williams
2024 was a successful year for South Carolina ABA (SC ABA). Board members included President Jacqui Williams, Secretary Kim Snyder, Treasurer Stephanie Turner, At-Large Board Member Scott Herbst, and Student Representative Amy Eacho.
In 2024, we continued our licensure efforts, detailed below, and continued conversations around working towards diversity, equity, and inclusion in the organization. We held a hybrid conference using BehaviorLive, with great feedback about the experience.
Legislative Affairs Committee: In 2023, the Legislative Affairs Committee continued to work with our lobbyist to develop grassroots efforts to develop relationships with and educate state representatives about applied behavior analysis.
Ethics Committee: Since November 2024, we have been in the process of finding a new ethics chair. We have talked to a few possible candidates for this role.
SIGS: In 2024, we continued five SIGs: Organizational Behavior Management, School-Based ABA, Business Owners, Diversity Equity and Inclusion, and Collaboration. SIGs meet every other month and are led by SC ABA members.
We had a few other changes in leadership in 2023:
- Kim Snyder ended her time as Secretary in November 2024 and has become the president elect, Kristen Hubbard was appointed to as secretary in November 2024.
Our 2025 Conference will take place October 14 and 15, 2025, in Charleston, SC, please see our website sc-aba.org for more information.
