Utah ABA – 2025 Chapter Update

This past year has been incredibly productive and exciting for the Utah Association of Behavior Analysis (UtABA) board and members. We have remained committed to promoting contemporary and ethical practice to UtABA members and practitioners in the state.
Our many committees have diligently engaged in various work and demonstrated continued commitment to ensuring the smooth operation of UtABA. The Public Policy Committee has been particularly active, assisting with the Office of Public Licensing Review (OPLR) report, and collaborating with the Utah Psychological Association (UPA) to prepare statements as needed for Utah Senate Bill 26, the Behavioral Health Licensing Amendments, aimed to amend behavioral health licensing provisions to expand the types of licensees why may participate. This committee also created a list of resources to share on our website to support ABA business in our state, held a town hall regarding commercial payor policy changes, and disseminated information to members regarding these changes.
This year, we proudly unveiled a new UtABA logo, which was voted on by our members. Our Professional Development Committee organized our largest annual conference to date, offering the highest number of Continuing Education Units (CEUs) ever. We adopted the use of Behavior Live for our Annual Conference and webinars, enhancing the accessibility and quality of our events. The webinars and annual conference were very well received by our members, who reported positive feedback and valuable content.
We are very grateful for all individuals who dedicate their time to the UtABA committees, as well as our committed membership who continue to promote and provide ethical, contemporary practice in the state of Utah. Looking ahead, we are excited to continue our work and build on the successes of this past year.
