ABAI 2025 Outstanding Mentor – Hedda Meadan
Dr. Meadan is the Snyder Distinguished Professor in the Department of Special Education and Child Development at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Her research focuses on a cascading intervention model for training and coaching natural change agents—such as family members, educators, and service providers—to use evidence-based strategies that support children’s social communication skills in natural environments. She has widely published on interventions for children with disabilities and their families and on training and coaching caregivers and professionals. One of the most rewarding aspects of her job is working with and mentoring students.
