Pediatric Feeding Disorders Special Interest Group – 2025 SIG Update

The Pediatric Feeding Disorders Special Interest Group (PFD SIG) held an in-person meeting at the ABAI annual convention, bringing together a vibrant community of practitioners and researchers. The discussion primarily focused on reactivating the PFD SIG, including appointing board members in accordance with ABAI SIG guidelines, and addressing the needs of past, current, and future members. As such, Dr. Ibañez will follow up with attendees regarding next steps and plans to establish forums for ongoing communication between ABAI conventions. The PFD SIG aims to serve as a hub for exchanging information on key topics, such as standards of care in specialized feeding programs, strategies for securing reimbursement for intensive feeding services, and expanding training opportunities to meet service delivery needs. Finally, the mission of the PFD SIG is to generate interest, foster collaborative research, share clinical information, and impact training, practice, and reimbursement for the evaluation and treatment of pediatric feeding disorders. We look forward to connecting in the coming year and engaging in activities and discussions that advance our mission!
