In 2024, Central China ABA (CCABA) has successfully carried out of the comprehensive advancement of development of various operational activities in the field of behavior analysis in China. There are four major activities: Certified Training, Continuing Education, Membership Development, and Conferences and Workshops.

Certified Training

As of today, CCABA has successfully developed a localized behavior analyst certification training system in China (CNABA SYSTEM), which currently covers five levels of training and certification: Assistant Behavior Analysts (CCaBA), Behavior Analysts (CCBA), Supervisory Behavior Analyst (CCBSA), undergraduate level Supervised Behavior Analyst (CCBSA-B), master’s level Supervised Behavior Analyst (CCBSA-M), and one honorary level-Supervised Behavior Analyst doctoral level (CCBSA-D).

As of now, over 200 people have received CNABA Fundamental level training, and none of them have obtained CCaBA qualification yet. Over 500 people received Advanced level training from CNABA, and over 40 people obtained CCBA qualification. Over 50 people received SBT training, and over 30 people obtained CCBSA certification. Over 70 people received CNABA High Level training, and nine people obtained CCBSA-B qualification; three people received CNABA supreme level training and obtained CCBSA-M qualification. Also, there has been three people receiving the honorary level CCBSA-D qualification due to the tremendous work in the field of behavior analysis in China.

Continuing Education

Since 2024, CCABA has cooperated with multiple BCBA and BCBA-Ds to work on continuing education. One of the major events is that CCABA kept providing online continuing education credit courses once a month, with the following course themes:

  • May 25th 2024, “How to Implement the ESDM.” Provided by XiongBao Zhu, BCBA#1-20-44851.
  • Jun 26th 2024, “How to manage Challenging Behaviors in Inclusive Class (2).” Provided by Meng Lyu, BCBA#1-19-39044.
  • Jul 25th 2024, “How to assess and formulate a 12-Weeks-Plan in ESDM.” Provided by XiongBao Zhu, BCBA#1-20-44851.
  • Aug 20th 2024, “How to improve social skills in the inclusive environment.” Provided by Meng Lyu, BCBA#1-19-39044.
  • Sept 24th 2024, “Break up Teaching Objectives & Follow up on Teaching Progress.” Provided by XiongBao Zhu, BCBA#1-20-44851.
  • Oct 31st 2024, “Communication between Family and School – How to Protect Children’s Basic Rights and Interests.” Provided by Meng Lyu, BCBA#1-19-39044.
  • Nov 26th 2024, “ESDM:Developing Teaching Plans and Frameworks.” Provided by XiongBao Zhu, BCBA#1-20-44851.
  • Dec 27th 2024, “What should Shadow Teachers really do?” Provided by Meng Lyu, BCBA#1-19-39044.

Membership Development

According to the statistics, CCABA has grown to 456 members, including 362 individual members and 94 institutional members. CCABA provides various members benefits including free online broadcast continuing education, discount of online courses and workshops, and so on.

Conferences and Workshops

CCABA successfully held an Annual Conference on ABA in 2024. The conference invited Chongying Wang, BCBA-D; Meng Lyu, BCBA; Xueyi Deng, BCBA; and Linmei Liu, BCBA. Along with Guangxi College for Preschool Education and China-ASEAN Autism Research Institute, CCABA provided several workshops during the conference.

Not only that, CCABA has also collaborated with other BCBAs to conduct more online and offline ABA related themed workshops during the year 2024.

Overall, CCABA has successfully completed our mission in 2024 and played a crucial role in the development of ABA in China. CCABA will maintain our consistent level of work in the new year.
